Clarification of Rules

Guys, I have read the Rules of HSM, dan beberapa rules ada yang mungkin perlu di-klarifikasi. I have clarified Rules No. 7 and 23 with Mike. As to Rule No. 57, anybody can clarify?

There might be some questions with regard to the rules from the Participants. So, here they are, FYI:

7.         Students who have championed the past Competitions are not eligible to participate as team members in this year’s Competition. The team members who have won as the Champion for the past UPH Faculty of Law International Law Moot Court Competition for High School Students are not eligible to participate in this Competition.

o   So, the ones who cannot compete are strictly the past Champions (1^st prize).

o   Receiver of awards such as Best Oralist, Best Memorial, 2^nd and 3^rd Winners may still compete.

 

23.      The template cover of memorial is provided at the end of this Rule.

o   Instead of in the Rule itself, the template cover would follow that of the memorial example (Gujarat).

 

29.      In the event that a team fails to submit its memorial on time (pursuant to Rule 20), the Administrator shall deduct 5 marks for each day calendar day from the team’s memorial score out of 100.

o   pursuant to rule 27.

 

57.      Each participating schools shall be permitted to arrange practice moots.

o   to be clarified.

As for Rule 7, the sentences are overlapping. They mean the same, in fact initially it was only the last sentence but I intended to rephrase it thus made the first sentence, and left the second sentence unerased so that the next reviewers can compare. But I guess all of us forgot to omit the second sentence haha.

As for Rule 23, I think we should send the teams emails or insert an additional note to the invitation package clarifying such. This is rather a major point, so before they even ask, or decide not to ask and subsequently make an informal cover, we should send them the clarification in advance.

I've a question for Rule 29. Yang dimaksud memorial disitu soft copy or hard copy or both? Kalau a team fails to submit both copies in time, do they get double deduction?

As regard Rule 57 I have no idea. I think this is custom for the IHL Moot but not HSM, yes?
