The University of Pennsylvania Library System is seeking a REGULAR
PART-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II (20 HRS) for its Middle East Collection.

Perform acquisitions & cataloging functions for printed materials in the
Persian languages; receive & inscribe books, search bibliographic
databases, create basic bibliographic records, create book orders & copy
cataloging, including basic subject analysis & classification.

Qualifications: High school graduate; BA/BS in Middle East studies or
related disciplines preferred; demonstrated ability in written Persian;
two yrs. experience at the AAI level or comparable background; ability to
work independently with accuracy & eye for detail; familiarity with
computers & library operations preferred.

Grade: G10; Range: $10.58 - $13.18 per hour, 20 hours a week, limited
benefits, including sick and vacation time.
