Solar Viewings for Summer 2023

Hello astronomy enthusiasts,

We have scheduled our public viewings for this summer: 12:00-1:30pm on July 11, July 25, August 8, and August 22. Knowing our weather on the Island, we'll be lucky if it's sunny enough on half of those days to go ahead with our event, so check our website for updates: https://projects.upei.ca/astronomy/2023/07/05/solar-viewings-summer-2023/

For these events, we'll be setting up our hydrogen-alpha telescope on the ground outside Memorial Hall and then setting up our observatory telescope with a white-light solar filter. So you'll get to see different features of the sun through two different views.
