The Pagoda project at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab is proud to announce the first public release of UPC++ V1.0. This release implements nearly all the functionality of UPC++ in the specification, but doesn't include some of the more advanced parts of the API. Notably missing are promise/continuation-based completion, rput_then_rpc, teams, serialization, and non-contiguous transfers. Included are a specification and programmer's guide with many programming examples to get you started.
The software, specification and programmer’s guide are accessible from the following url: https://bitbucket.org/berkeleylab/upcxx with the following respective filenames and md5 checksums: upcxx-2017.9.0.tar.gz d9e272f5595bb892256ebd037e307ae8 upcxx-spec-V1.0-Draft4.pdf c10462cdc026a702a9bcbae764e5d107 upcxx-guide-2017.9.0.tar.gz c5596cefb2fd459a423b923e85b0b2d7
Please use the issue tracker to track any problems. Alternatively if you have private feedback or questions you can email: pag...@lbl.gov.
This release is not fully performant. Performance improvements will be in stages, with major milestones on 12/31/17 and 3/31/18. Some of these improvements depend on upcoming enhancements to GASNet-EX.
