As
you are aware, the late Prof Okoth Ogendo was a distinguished and
internationally renowned scholar on land, land use and constitutional
governance. His contribution to the academia,in shaping the landscape on land
reforms and constitutional making is invaluable and continues to shape emerging
discourses.
The School of
Law, University of Nairobi in partnership with the PLO Lumumba Foundation and
the Okoth-Ogendo Family is hosting an Inaugural Annual Memorial Lecture in
honour of Prof. Okoth Ogendo. The lecture
will be delivered by Prof. Gamaliel Mgongo Fimbo
of the School of Law (formerly Faculty of Law), University of Dar-Es-Salaam. It is titled: “Law in Theory and Practice: Expanding Citizenship Space through
Scholarship”.
We would like to invite you to
attend this lecture and participate in the discussions on the 13th June 2014. The lecture will be held at the Lecture Theatre, University of Nairobi School
of Law from 2.00 pm.
