The SIM class attendance system is indeed a transaction processing system, but because it makes no decisions, you cannot use it as an example for structured decision making.

I don't understand what you mean by "companies using 1 of the above 4 classes of IS".  It depends entirely on the needs and resources available to companies.  In any case, forget about semi-structured decision systems.  Just understand the difference between structured and unstructured decision making.  Semi-structured is generally considered as unstructured decision-making, anyway.
