ERP = Enterprise Resource Planning system

EIS = Executive Information System

They are 2 different systems but EIS is dependent on the presence of an ERP.

My notes have clearly outlined the difference between these systems.

We don't use EIS to denote enterprise information systems.  Enterprise information systems are just any systems that is used by an enterprise/company.  It is a generic term that naturally encompasses ERP systems.
