We take pleasure in announcing the Seventh National Case Writing Workshop in collaboration with the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) scheduled to be held on December 13-15, 2013. The Workshop will be led by Dr. Upinder Dhar, who has conducted Thirty-Seven such Workshops as Facilitator so far. The Faculty of B-schools and Management Institutes located in various parts of the country will be participating in the workshop.
The Workshop aims at development of cases based on Indian Business Environment and propagates the use of case studies as an integral part of pedagogy in imparting management education. A copy of the detailed brochure of the Workshop is enclosed for your kind perusal.
Please find below the process for the workshop.
Step1. Workshop Participants report at the JKLU Campus in the morning of 1st Day. Boarding & Lodging is provided for Residential Delegates in luxurious MDC Guest Rooms for 3 days and 2 nights.
Step 2. Company visit - Group of 3-4 faculties would be visiting the organization on 1st Day afternoon post Lunch. Duration 3-4 hours. Company and Vehicle would be arranged by us.
Step 3. Drafting and redrafting of cases by faculty members in their group at JKLU campus for next 2 days. The process would be facilitated by Dr Upinder Dhar.
Step 4. Final draft sent to company for No Objection and Approval that the case can be published with their name. No such requirement if Cases are disguised.
Step4. All Cases sent to ECCH (European Case Clearing House, Cranfield University, UK) for registration.
Step 5. All Cases are published in Case Monograph brought out by JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur. Also sent to Management Books, Journals and Magazines based on their peer review.
In previous such workshops at JKLU, nearly 40 case studies had been developed by more than 200 faculties from across the country.
This is to kindly request you to circulate the same amongst the faculty of your esteemed institute and nominate your faculty colleagues for participation in the Workshop.
Registration is done on “first come first serve” basis. Registrations would be closed once a pre-decided cut-off number is achieved.
