I am going to be spending one month at the University of Utah Hospital
doing an away rotation. I thought it might be nice to bike from my
apartment about 2.1 miles away. I was curious what the biking
environment was like around the campus and if you thought it was
safe. Also, do you know if there is a bike rack close to the
University Hospital?
I appreciate any advice you can give.
Thanks!
Teresa
In my humble opinion, campus is a good place to bike. I think you'll find the interior of campus more comfortable, meaning the sidewalks as apposed to the roads. Once you get to medical drive I prefer to ride through Fort Douglas if I'm going to the Hospital. Going down the hill you won't have a problem using the roads as you'll have an easier time keeping up with traffic. by the way there are a lot of racks around the hospital, there are even some bike lockers if you wanted to pay a little extra.
enjoy the U
