Dear Sir, Madam,
I experience some problems with my eudoralight e-mail program. Following
functions just do not respond: New message to, Replying to, Forward to,
Redirect to.Reloading the software did not solve things.
Furthermore, the date of my outgoing messages is not given in my
Mailbox-out. Would you have any suggestion how to solve these problems?
Thanking you very much in advance,
Carein Beversen.

Hello - You've reached Microcomputer Support Services for the University of
Oregon, USA. Due to our staff size we respond to questions from current UO
students, faculty and staff. I could not find you in our database of
current employees. If you are a current UO student, faculty or staff
member please let us know.
A few quick pointers:

* Your system clock is incorrect (most likely). This is where Eudora gets
its date and time stamp for email. Your clock is currently set to January
1, 1970. Open the Date/Time Control Panel in Windows 95 (under Control
Panels, Settings under your Start menu) to set this. If you restart your
computer and the date goes back to 1/1/70 then the battery that holds your
computer's date and time information is dead.

* All the "to" items in Eudora (Forward to, Reply to, Redirect to) only
work if you have created a Nickname and when you create the nickname you
check the "Recipient List" check box. If you do this, then you will see a
drop down list of all Nicknames on your recipient list each time you use
menu items like "Forward to, Reply to, etc., otherwise the standard
Forward, Reply, Redirect menu items will work for your currently open
message.

Best of luck!

Sincerely,
Microcomputer Services at microhelp@oregon
