The week of World AIDS Day (WAD) is going to be a busy one, but very
rewarding as well. This email will help you know what's going on and

Monday November 30, 2009

Bakesale

The bakesale is specifically for FACEAIDS so we will be advertising
the Concert as well as the How do You Wear Your Pin Campaign. The
table will be decorated with a How do you wear your pin banner and the
posters from the campaign. We will need people running the table as
well as a person on the street handing out flyers that advertise the
concert.
What we need:
10 people to make baked goods for the sale
3 people for each tabling session
9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.
2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.

Monday GO to Greeks
We will need two volunteers to go to the greek houses from 5:00
p.m.-7:00p.m. to advertise the concert and pass out flyers about it.

Monday night Meeting 7:30 p.m.
Monday night we are going to have our SGH meeting it will give us time
to organize everything that needs to happen for the concert. You will
also receive all of the flyers and information about the concert to
pass on to your friends.


Tuesday December 1, 2009 WORLD AIDS DAY

EMU Events
The cultural Forum is bringing Dr. Robert Fischer to speak in the EMU
ballroom, he spent his life working with HIV/AIDS patients in India.
The event should be very interesting Hopefully you can make it.

Friday December 4, 2009

Condom Fashion Show 7:00 p.m. EMU Ballroom
The annual condom fashion show is being put on by the Cultural Forum
and Peer Health. Michelle and I are going to speak at the show if you
are interested in designing a dress or being a model let us know.

FACEAIDS Benefit Concert @ The Lorax
The Lorax concert is our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year so we have to
work really hard to make it happen. I want to see all of you and ALL
of your friends. I have attached the flyer to the email so take a look
at it and make sure to pass them around. Our Goal is to make $2000.
Try to make an announcement in all of your classes during WAD week and
invite people to the Show. We have press releases going out to news
and radio, and there is a facebook event for the concert. If you were

Cost = $5 or a FACEAIDS pin,
Tickets/Pins are on sale now at the Cultural Forum (downstairs in the
EMU)
Location = The Lorax, 16th and Alder
Doors open at 9:30 & the concert will run from 10:00 PM - 1:00 AM

NEEDS:
We are going to need people to work the door and run security. I urge
everyone in the group to come to the concert because it's our most
important fundraiser, and it's a fun event.


We'll need people to work the door and take Money in these shifts:
9:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
10:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
11:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m.
12:00 a.m.-1:00 a.m.


We'll need 3 people at the door at ALL times

Saturday December 5, 2009

Lorax Clean Up
We always clean up the morning after a concert. The Board will be at
the Lorax at 10:00 a.m. to clean up from the night before and return
any bottles and cans for profit. If you can make it, we would love the
help.


Please tell everyone you know about the events going on. This is our
biggest week of the year. You can respond to this email to let me know
when you're available to help. I cannot thank you enough in advance!
Just remember: we want to make a statement on campus and in the
community. Let's go BIG.
