WE HAVE A VENUE

Hi team,

See the subject line. 

It's the Banqueting Hall at the Melbourne Uni Student Union. Seats 200 in classroom style, so I think we're good to go.

To put it in context, it's $2000 for the venue hire. We get full catering if we can raise $7000 and they've given me more time to raise money to make that happen (because, like, it's more money for them). 

I'd like us to set a target of getting $8000 in sponsorship. With that plus the delegate fees we'd have $10,000, which would be enough to cover all our expenses plus provide transport support for delegates.

Under the terms of the division's RCM (short version: each event must balance), I'm setting the delegate fee at $15 a head, which is pretty nominal. That will cover venue hire with a little left over for the social event later.

I'm going to personally reach out to the Queer Department at UMSU and see if we can get any cash or a fee waiver from them.

MEETING TOMORROW - 5PM BEARBASS SOUTHBANK. We need to move to Warp 9 on speakers now we have a venue. I'd like us to have invitations out to everyone by the end of the week.
