Dear participant,
Thank you very much for registering for the UN Youth Human Rights Summit - your registration has been confirmed and processed. We're still processing payments, but please come along to the Summit even if you haven't paid and you can pay on the day.
Attached to this email, you can find an excel spreadsheet indicating to what UN nation and focus group you have been assigned. We have tried to accommodate everyone's preferences, but realise that some of you did not get your first choices. Don't worry too much about this - the Summit is structured in such a way that everyone will get opportunities to contribute on all their areas of interest throughout the day.
In addition, please find below a link to the Delegate Guide:
This guide contains (hopefully!) all you need to know about the Summit. I've also included the pertinent details below:
Where: University of Melbourne Student Union, Grand Buffet Room (on the third floor). Enter the Union by the ground floor and head up the central stairway; you’ll see our registration table there.
When: Thursday 16 May. Registration starts at 8am - you must arrive by 8.30am at the latest. Expect the Summit to run until 6pm. You cannot leave the Summit part-way through the day without the permission of the Convenor.
What should I bring: Food is not provided; you should bring your own morning and afternoon tea as well as lunch. You can buy snacks and lunch downstairs in the Union building if you wish. Dress code is business casual; school uniform is optional (unless your school requires it). Otherwise you need bring nothing else but yourself - we'll provide everything else.
The registration website has additional reading (which is completely optional - we've included it for reference purposes only, so don't be intimidated by it!):
I look forward to seeing you on Thursday!
Best regards,
Alec Webley
