Hi all,

See email below. I'm vaguely inclined to bring him in as a speaker, but he lacks the international angle. Thoughts?

Hello,

Hope all is well! I'm writing in reference to the UN Human Rights Summit for LGBT rights.

I'm a Youth Worker with Peninsula Pride and I provide training and education on gender diversity to students and teachers in schools. Peninsula Pride is a headspace project.  Refer to the link below.

I'm also the Editor of DUDE Magazine, under the name Jez Pez. DUDE is a resource about transgender guys, which has helped to raise community awareness and education. I also run workshops throughout Australia on gender diversity, trans* rights and community activism. Refer to the link below.

I am also on the State Government Ministerial Advisory Committee for LGBTI Health and Well being.

I'm really interested in participating in this summit and I wanted to ask how I might be able to attend? Is registration open only to young people?

Hoping you can either assist me or direct me to someone who possibly can?

Thanks very much and have a great weekend.

I think delegates would benefit a lot from hearing from
someone working in the local
community. it doesn't always have to be international :)

I know the speaker workshop was based on how they further human rights on the international scale and how try educate etc, but I reckon he would give great insight into the trans issues and pressing for their rights on a local level.

If he were to come he would share experiences and how he furthered equal rights (we could encourage him to avoid the marriage can of worms

Cheers
Andrew
