OC Meeting Recap

Hi all,

Thanks for coming out (geddit?) to the meeting on Thursday. My apologies for the delayed recap!

For everyone

Take a look at the planning document (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkOjC6PnRVGodDhkcnlQUXFOUjY1OS1LX1laMlY4aUE&usp=sharing) and add any speakers you think might be good to invite as well as any LGBT groups we can reach out to. Note the tabs on the bottom of the page! :)

I will do a big email out on Tuesday to these groups.

Publicity - in general

If you contact anyone about the Summit, please put it on the publicity spreadsheet. Then I don't double up. 

Agreements and Outcomes

- We have about 8/15 speakers, so we need to invite more people. I'll send out a few contact thoughts to you, Lewis, as well, though I still need more details on that spreadsheet so I can get an idea of actually who you contacted.

- UNY will contribute $500 to the post-summit social event, with Minus18 contributing the rest. It will probably be pizza, and will be at the M18 headquarters

- I have made the section about photography at the summit clearer.

- There will be sensitivity training the night before the summit; we'll clear this up closer to the time.

Flyer: Design

Michael, can you revise this by the end of Monday? Also would you mind sending me the IDAHO logo?

Key things to change:

- top line reads "United Nations Youth" instead of "UN Youth and Minus18 Present"

- Add the logos of It Gets Better and Freehills. You'll need to vectorize the freehills one. But both are attached.

- Move the website link to the registration required box

- Perhaps move the after event to under the Michael Kirby box, and then in the space that leaves on the left column, perhaps between the University of Melbourne line and the Open to line insert: 

"Students will draft a UN resolution on LGBT rights that will be presented to the Australian Government and from there to the UN itself."

Flyer: Printing

M18 will print the 350 pages of the flyer on quartersheet (and cut them up). 650 quartersheets have to be dropped off at YACVIC (attn: VicSRC) by no later than Friday of this coming week.

Facebook

Michael, if you just copy the content of the UN Youth facebook event and create one on the M18 page, I'll delete our event when you've done that. I need the new event URL for the email blast, so please send that!
