thats because of the new update of the android version as i had recently updated my samsung galaxy s5 to marshmallow this started all because i think the phone is not able to undestand the display settings whether to choose the cpu or gpu to display the screen its just we have to wait for a next update or just just jump back to an older android version and the people who say that to purchase a new phone than its useless using samsung mobiles where for a silly bug we have to upgrade for a whole new mobile phone simply useless this will take down the samsung market that means
You can install custom rom - custom operating system for your phone. Samsung no longer supports upgrades to newer android versions, but dev communities are releasing and updating custom roms. I had seen even android nougat for Samsung S4, but marshmallow (6.0) would probably be the best pick. You can read more about it here:
