From Sydney with Love is a Hindi movie directed by Prateek Chakravorty, starring Sharad Malhotra, Bidita Bag, Karan Sagoo and Evelyn Sharma. The music has been composed by Sohail Sen, Thor Patridge, and Nabin Laskar.[3]

It was a dream come true for Meghaa Banerjee, a small town girl in West Bengal, India when she earned a scholarship from the prestigious University of New South Wales in Australia to pursue her master's degree in Economics with inevitable butterflies in her stomach.[4] She embarks upon her maiden expedition to Sydney leaving her protective shell and family behind. Coming from a conservative middle-class background, life and culture in Sydney was an instant eye opener for her. Under guidance of her caring cousin Kalpana fondly called "Kol", Meghaa slowly embraces her new life in Sydney where she makes new set of friends, which includes cherubic Lubaina, prankster Raj, and narcissistic Suhail. Love and romance was something that was strictly not in her agenda of things. However being young at heart it was just something waiting to happen to her when she met Rohit - a charismatic, full of sheen and friendly natured fellow student in the University with whom she starts gelling right from the beginning.

The only thing stopping me from doing it sooner was the hope that, by some miracle, I'd get a full-time job at my beloved Bromley Football Club. I didn't even care what job it was, so long as it gave me a chance to devote myself to the club I love.

The close relationship with fans, players, and backroom staff you get at a club like Bromley is something you should never take for granted. Connecting with Andy Woodman and his team, past and present, will always mean a lot to me. And I feel blessed that I got to know the many wonderful people who work behind the scenes at the club.

On the 22nd of April of this year, I announced on the ever-growing Bromley Fans’ Facebook Group that Bromley’s game against Chesterfield would be my last visit to Hayes Lane. I had decided to move back to the country of my birth, Australia.

It wasn’t an easy decision as I faced leaving so many friends behind, but returning to The Land Down Under was something that I’d always wanted to do and I’d been planning the move for some time.

To put myself on the radar, I threw myself into a part-time role as a coach for the Bromley FC Community Sports Trust scheme. But, despite my best efforts, in the autumn of 2022, it became clear there wouldn’t be a full-time job for me at the club. It didn’t matter how many hours I put in, how many sessions I planned, or how hard I pushed myself physically and mentally to advertise the club in the local area, the dream job remained just that, a dream.

When I set the wheels in motion for my return to Australia, I did so knowing that I was giving up seeing the Ravens in the flesh. This was hard to get my head around. From the moment I stepped foot in Hayes Lane, it captured my imagination. It’s such a magical place to me. Watching Bromley reach their heady heights in this modest but history-filled stadium has been an experience I’ll never forget.

I miss getting to games early. I miss getting a portion of chips. I miss sitting in the Glyn Beverly Stand to analyse how the away keeper’s warm-up differs from other keepers in the league (they all have unique routines with their goalkeeping coaches, which fascinates me).

But the thing I miss most of all is the Bromley family. They became such a big part of my life, both at the club and outside of it. I’ve made friends for life and know that we’ll always have a special bond thanks to the football club.

I consider myself extremely fortunate to have spent so much time with the club I love and the people who make it special. Much as I miss Hayes Lane, I realise that it doesn't matter that I can’t be there in person. You can take the boy out of Bromley, but you can't take Bromley out of the boy. Black and white flows through my veins and I’m on a mission to let Australia know all about my beloved Bromley Football Club. Until we meet again…

The case underscores its rugged elegance. Crafted from 316L sandblasted marine-grade stainless steel, it measures 38mm in diameter with a 12mm thickness, providing a substantial yet balanced feel on the wrist. Its robust construction is designed to withstand the rigours of both everyday wear and outdoor adventures, making it a reliable companion for any explorer, in any situation.

Completing the design is the case back, meticulously laser engraved with "Limited Edition" and "From Sydney with Love." This personalised touch not only emphasises the exclusivity of the timepiece but also serves as the heartfelt nod to our Australian roots, that we'd like to spread to the world.

Just one word of advice; even Aditya Chopra with his subsequent films hasn't been able to recreate the magic of his first film. Definitely time to move on.

Coming back to Prateek Chakraborthy's maiden outing as writer, director and one of the lead actors in From Sydney With Love, three hats to don simultaneously is something even veterans would hesitate from doing. Probably Prateek (grandson of the famous producer Pramod Chakraborthy) believed given his famous lineage directing a young happy zestful film wouldn't require too much effort.

So we have Megha (Miss High and Mighty) who lands up in Australia for further studies after her father utters the prized words 'mujhe tum par pura bharosa hai (I have complete faith in you)'. 'Bharosa' like promises is almost always broken. The aftermath of which is a considerable amount of pain and sorrow. The 'Bharosa' has now been compromised, virginity has been relinquished and the location must now shift to a small town in India.

Quite a pity because the one redeeming feature of the first half is the picturesque locations of Sydney captured in a competent manner by cinematographer Piyush Shah. The two best friends Raj (Prateek Chakraborthy) and Rohit (Sharad Malhotra) have both fallen madly in love with Megha (Bidita Bag) in the short span of six months.

Megha for reasons best known to her conveniently forgets all about the huge amount of money her father has borrowed for her education and decides to return to India. Raj and Rohit who're quite upset at her abrupt departure follow her. There seems to be no solution to the many problems Megha has in her life, irate father, a mother who's a heart patient, a suicidal sister and the financial stress enveloping the family.

So one of them stays back and the other takes the first flight out. Is it correct to leave your loved one at a point when they need you the most? And even if your loved one makes a mistake, should you forgive and forget? Or tell him or her to take a hike?

It's these age-old dilemmas confronting the hip-n-happening lot who've just relocated from Sydney. Of course the story isn't all melodramatic mush. There is a concerted effort been put into the script to ensure you laugh at least once in every two reels.

Apart from the cinematography there's one hummable number Ho jayega which stays with you even after the film has ended. Everything else about this fam-com (a comedy for the entire family) is best forgotten.

With a running time of two hours and eighteen minutes, this one is best avoided. Do gift the DVD to friends whom you never want to meet again. Hopefully they'll get the hint
