I just want to know is there any limitation size (maximum size) of infraworks model? Now im working in a large and detail city model and my file size more than 50 GB. I have powerful system and make sure all the setting so my infraworks model not slow based on this
Now, Its so take a long time to edit even simple edit in my model. Is there any chance to reduce file size of our model? I know infraworks its kind of database, one file related to another file.. But I still wondering to ask, if it can be done..
Do you need to visuzlize the entire model at all times? I'm wondering if you could create multiple proposals that are designated for certain areas, and then take out what you don't need for each proposal? Also, if overall you don't need to view the whole model, perhaps you can reduce the model extent.
Thanks for the great info @Anonymous . Do you think you could post this projec to the Gallery and include your system specs? It's a great example of the scale what can be done with InfraWorks 360 if you have the right hardware to go with it. -gallery.autodesk.com/projects/recent
"The SQLite database file may get larger and larger as time goes by. Even if the data is deleted from the database, the database file will not be shrunk, unless you run the VACUUM command. VACUUM will reconstruct the database from scratch and keep the database minimal in size.(Source : Appeon.com)"
Is it possible to import an Autodesk Infraworks model into D5 Render, so that you get a good sense of the surroundings when creating 3D visualizations for large factories? Or are there other terrain models that give a better sense of the surroundings?
Hey Ryan. Do you have another great way to visualize real ife surroundings, without having to apply textures? We really like the look we get from the infraworks model, because it shows hills/mountains, roads, fields etc.
This software is frustrating to learn how to use. This seems like a simple question. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to delete a road that I designed that is no longer feasible. You would think it be easy as right click delete or select object and hit delete key but no.
And I could not find any answer online so what? Am I the first to want to delete a road design and start a road over?
Thank you for contacting Autodesk! I am Nilesh Chaudhari and I will be helping you with this. I am sorry to know that you are facing issue while using Infraworks. Here is the article that might be helpful for you. Please let me know how it goes.
Im very confused by your response. First off that response says its civil 3d, not infraworks.
Secondly I have used civil 3d for years and I have never seen a Roads menu or roads in the contextual ribbon at all. Its corridors, not roads.
How old is that article?
Delete is available when you are in "Select Mode". To enter Select Mode, toggle the View settings menu from the Utility Bar, and turn Edit Mode off. Now, when you select a road and right-click, you can delete. Let me know if you have any questions. (Here's a help topic that should walk you through it, too:
You've got a good point there. I would suggest posting this to the InfraWorks Ideas board, as our product team looks at the ideas to help prioritize our development roadmap. Let us know if you have any other questions, comments, concerns.
And woops, my bad! Just noticed that I signed in with my personal account today rather than my official Autodesk account, as I am an Autodesk employee. Just wanted to represent myself clearly
Thanks,
A simple pop-up warning when I was trying to delete it in edit mode, telling me I was in the wrong mode would have clued me in, but yes I will. Hopefully this post will show up in google search algorithm and will help the next person.
