occurred when I re-ran the simulation after reducing the size of a fewpipes in the model. The warning appeared at the end of the hydraulicstatus list for 0:00 hrs. I can't seem to relate the change I made andhaving the nodes disconnect. What does the term "disconnect" reallymean with respect to the model? I couldn't find any discussion of thisproblem in the users manual I got with the original program which Ireceived at the workshop in Berkeley in 1995. (Although I am usingEPANET Ver 1.1e, the manual I have is dated December 1993 and mayhave been updated to discuss this situation. If so, I need to get thelatestversion of the manual.) I would appreciate any general guidance youexpert users could render relating to node disconnection.
To start the ball rolling I have to say that in Canada, we probably usemany friction equations, and we would need input from users in all 10provinces. However the Province of Ontario through its Ministry of theEnvironment manual lists only H-W friction factors. They do recommend fieldmeasurements over tables.
