We listen to Dhikr via the digital recording played on a portable digital
computer, therefore is it the machine that making the Dhikr? What if we replaced
the frequencies of the chanter's voice with machine sounds as well:

In many cultures they attempted to do the same by chiming bells:

Though the words are not completely audible, but humming along and following
them in the mind is a pleasurable exercise!
