Hey there! I'm a beginner when it comes to recording music. And I don't have a bass guitar. I've seen this plugin, and I can't change the pitch. And I can't click other notes like D on the 5th fret of A string.
I have downloaded and installed from three different sites but still cannot get it to work. I can record the Ample Bass from the Cakewalk keyboard but would really like to record some of the presets in TAB mode. I think you are right Nigel it just can't be done with the free version as I have tried for hours and hours and searched the internet for hours also. It is a fabulous sounding bass so maybe I should buy the full version.
I chose the Ample Metal Ray5, an emulation of the Stingray 5. It originally only came with a "picked" sample set, so it was rather aggressive sounding. Which is good when you need it. But last year Ample released a free "fingered" sample set for Metal Ray5, so the bass is now a bit more versatile 5-string.
Ample Bass TR6 is a virtual bass guitars based on samples of the Yamaha TRBJP2 (John Patitucci signature model). This library provides Sustain, Palm Mute, Natural Harmonic, Hammer On & Pull Off, Legato Slide, Slide in, Slide Out, Slap, Pop, Tap, Full Slide, Mordent, Arpeggio 13 articulations, Legato at random length & pitch & poly. Features include the built-in tab player, which can load all popular tabular formats, as well as the "riffer" adjusting your basslines to the desired genre through a large selection of presets.
AmpleSound makes incredible sounding acoustic, electric and bass guitar VSTs. I have always been a GS Strum fan for their ability to put proper guitar voicing and strums on a keyboard. However, I was never fully satisfied with Strum voicing because is not based on actual samples. AmpleSound, on the other hand, is based on samples with detailed and extensive articulations. It makes a difference. Besides traditional guitars, check out the Amplesound Lap Steel, just incredible sounding with all the right playable articulations.
