Hey! I am doing a Nuzlocke for the first time on an emulator and I have some questions to make the Nuzlocke more pleasant. 1. Pokemon like Golbat, Riolu or Pichu only evolve with friendship and it is a pain to grind friendship. It took me about half an hour to evolve one of them (even with soothe bell, massages and poffins). Does anybody know how I can edit Friendship in the save file or something. 2. Since I am playing on an emulator it is impossible for me to evolve trade evolutions like kadabra and so on, so does anybody know how I can evolve a pokemon, who only evolves via trade. Thanks for all the tips!

Several evolutions were changed in Renegade Platinum. Types of evolution changes include, but are not limited to, those that replace trade evolutions and those that make level-based evolutions earlier. A full list of evolution changes can be found below.

While beneficial in their own right, trade-induced evolutions cannot be cancelled manually, requiring Pokémon that evolve when traded without a specific held item to hold an Everstone in order to stay in their current form. In Generation IV and onwards, however, the Everstone fails to prevent a traded Kadabra from evolving into Alakazam.

While its not a bad idea, there is plenty of ways to avoid having troubles with it. Im not saying definite "no" to suggestion I just leave option for newest players to read.

As someone noticed its mmo- there are a lot of people who will help you with trade evolution. If you will specify you wish to get your pokemon back, you should.

A lot of people around global chat do it daily, they are often visible on chat and care for reputation.

Updated March 24, 2022 by Renri Seong: With every new generation, there's a Pokemon that is incapable of evolving unless it's traded to another player. Unfortunately, this creates a challenge for trainers who want to complete the Pokedex, but prefer to play solo. The second generation added a second aspect to in-game trading that remains a part of Pokemon today. A Pokemon may need to be traded if it wants to evolve, but if it's not holding the right item, then nothing will happen. Despite Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl adding Pokemon from Pokemon Platinum, a handful of Pokemon won't be able to evolve until BDSP's postgame because their evolutions items are impossible to get in the main story. The following guide has been updated to include a list of where players can find all trade evolution items in Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl.

Pokémon Renegade Platinum is an enhancement hack of Pokémon Platinum Version, similar to my other hacks such as Sacred Gold & Storm Silver and Blaze Black & Volt White. In a nutshell, this hack generally keeps the same story flow as the original Pokémon Platinum but adds in a significant number of gameplay differences, including but not limited to access to all 493 Pokémon in the game, revamped Trainers including tougher boss fights, lots of (optional) changes to weaker Pokémon to make them easier to use, the removal of trade only evolutions and a number of other quality of life changes. The specifics of what parts have been changed are explained in the paragraphs below.

In Snowpoint City, one of the last cities the player will visit in the main story of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, Mindy resides in one of the houses. She will offer the player a Haunter in exchange for a Medicham. The big draw of this trade is that Haunter only evolves via trade, so this sounds like a chance to get Haunter's evolution Gengar without needing to find another player to trade with. Gengar is a strong Pokémon, not to mention an incredibly popular one. With the information given to the player, this trade sounds like a phenomenal deal, and since Pokémon's trade evolutions should be phased out as a mechanic in the first place, any way to get a trade evolution Pokémon would be enticing.

I've been trying to use the Universal Pokemon Randomizer to turn off trade evolutions to no avail. I still don't know if you can load your save file or save state from the randomized rom. When I try the game freezes when I enter a building or open the menu, though I'm doing almost everything right.
