Unfortunately, that is a trick question. Touching injured areas on the body is not always comfortable, and areas that are already painful intensify even with the lightest touch. But the pain-relieving benefits of manual therapy are well proven and, when used by our skilled physical therapists, are particularly beneficial!

Physical therapists use safe, highly effective manual therapy techniques to mobilize stiff joints and tight or tense soft tissues. Manual techniques are effectively used to treat joint swelling, tissue edema, joint restrictions, and soft tissue tension and restrictions/adhesions.

Our highly skilled therapists will clearly define what you can expect from our manual therapy techniques. Knowing what to expect is an effective way to manage increases in your symptoms and helps reduce or eliminate the fear people have about their condition getting worse.

Some people have soreness after a manual therapy session, but this is temporary and should never last more than 24-48 hours. As your therapist works with you, they can modulate the pressure and techniques to minimize any soreness and ensure overall pain relief.

It is common to experience immediate pain relief and joint or soft tissue mobility improvements from a single session of manual therapy. Remember, the goal is never to cause more pain, so communication with your therapist is imperative for positive results!

Our physical therapists are highly skilled at locating restricted areas that are contributing to your pain and dysfunction throughout your body. Therapeutic massage works to relax, loosen and mobilize any problematic areas, reducing your chances of developing an injury that will keep you out of the game for an extended period of time.

Joint mobilizations are manual therapy techniques used to move a joint passively. Mobilizations are applied at varying speeds and amplitudes that restore optimal joint motion, and function and/ or reduce pain.

Spinal manipulation is an effective form of treating back pain and is performed by taking spinal joints to their comfortable limits and applying a high-velocity thrust. This technique is often used on spinal joints and focuses on reducing pressure, alleviating pain, and improving spinal mobility. Often the manipulations are accompanied by popping sounds, although they are not always needed for effective results.

Manual traction is a common treatment used for all joints in the body but most commonly with the neck or back. This technique reduces pressure in the joints (i.e., decompress the joints). It is a safe, effective way to help provide patients with pain relief and increase their joint mobility.

Osteopathy is a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on treating the whole body, not just the symptoms. Unlike other therapies that may target specific areas or issues, osteopathy aims to balance all body systems to improve overall health and function. This includes manual therapy techniques to enhance circulation, correct postural imbalances, and restore joint function.

Absolutely! Osteopathy is effective for both acute injuries and chronic conditions. For acute injuries, it helps reduce pain and expedite recovery by restoring structure and function. For chronic conditions, osteopathy aims to alleviate symptoms and manage pain through ongoing manual therapy and corrective exercises that target the root causes of discomfort.

During your first visit, our Manual Osteopathic Practitioner will conduct a comprehensive assessment to understand your health history and current issues. This session will include a physical examination and a discussion about your health goals. Based on this evaluation, a personalized treatment plan will be developed to address your specific needs and support your journey to better health.

At iMove Clinic, osteopathy is part of a multidisciplinary approach that includes patient education and lifestyle advice to support overall wellness. By improving body mechanics, circulation, and pain management, osteopathy also enhances sleep quality, digestive function, and stress management, contributing to a holistic improvement in life quality.

I am very happy with the results of the HL-X units and Cans, I can get all the effects I want but when It comes to the moving heads there does not seem to be a whole lot I can do. If I had a few basic programs on them I would be happy but according to the manual I must manually control them (unlike the HL-Xs which offer controller over the inbuilt programs).

Am I wrong in saying that the heads do not have their own programs? (apart from when they are not controlled by the DMX and just running master/slave or sound, in which case they do their own thing, not very exciting though).

You can control the 5s lights by a ca8 easy controller which costs around 25 quid, this sets the built in programs. Not sure about your desk, but it would be handy to have one that had moving light macros, Isolution do one, there is also the glp scanmaster fx

The basic method is 1) put the desk into programming mode; 2) select each of your heads in turn, choosing position, colour, gobo etc with the sliders; and 3) record the 'scene'. Think of it as being like a frame in a movie. Then go on to record more scenes. The desk stores your scenes in banks, each bank can hold 8 scenes. Once you have a full bank, take the desk out of recording mode. You can then play your recorded scenes back, either manually, one scene at a time, or automatically, either with timed playback, or music-triggered. Tou can also build 'chases' from scenes chosen from any bank.

You first need to Create your scenes. To do this you need to enter the Programming mode - Hold down the program button for a few secs, and you should see in the display a small led start flashing, next to the word program indicating that its in the programming mode. It is beneficial to address each mover to each scanner button. For example DMX Adddress 001 and 017, which corresponds to scanner buttons 1 and 2.

Then hold down the midi/add button for a few seconds, and hit the button to which the scene you want to record to. Repeat this till you fill the bank of 8 scenes. this is indicated in the display by 101 (Sc1, Bank 1) 804 (Scene 8, bank 4) etc. etc. You can change the bank by hitting bank up or down.

for simple stuff, you can just select and bank, then hit either Music Trig, or Auto Trig, and it will run through the scenes in that bank, like a chaser. You can manually adjust the fade time from scene to scene, and the scene time by the 2 faders. Or you can build them into a chase, check out the manual. There should be enough here to at least get you something -room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

Yes, I have gotten that far alright, programming scenes etc, which works fine for my other lights but I can't seem to get a nice flow or search from the heads. If I set 8 scenes with the heads in a varied position each time, they seem to just shift awkwardly from one position to the next, no matter what speed or fade time I set.

With the GLP desk is has presets like wave, circle etc These continually modulate the pan and tilt positions for a smooth operation, much like the more expensive desks. You can also set the starting point, adjust circle size, speed, direction etc.

If you set the fade time, so that the mover never actually reaches the position thats its intended to go to, and the step time so that the steps are faster than the head can move you get something a bit closer to fluid pans/tilts.

Subtitles are texts created either on the basis of the transcript or the script of the dialogue or commentary of films, television programmes, video games, etc. They are also called captions. They are usually displayed at the bottom of the screen in a pyramid-like manner. Subtitles have various advantages, the biggest being that they make content accessible to people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
