Hello everyone.

College Democrats of North Texas meeting at 6:00 in ENV 115.

Tuesdays meeting will be highly internal. The big thing on the agenda
is that we will be taking nominations for officers for the 2008-2009
school year. All six positions are up for re-election any member can
run for any one of them. The elections for these offices will be held
at our last meeting, next week (April 22).

To be elected an officer a person must:
Have attended at least 3 meetings and/or club sponsored events this
semester
Have a GPA greater than or equal to 2.25
May only miss three meetings per semester once elected.

The offices open for election are the Presidency, The Vice-Presidency,
the Membership Director, the Communications Officer, the Treasurer,
and the Secretary/Historian. Web Master is appointed by the elected
board.

There are no term limits to any office. Nominations, and elections,
next week, will be done in order from top to bottom. Upon elections,
next week, should a nominee for a higher office not obtain a majority
vote, they may be renominated for a lower office upon the voting for
that office.

Once we have our nominees selected I would like to take some time for
a round table with all current and potential officers to start
discussing how this club can become larger and more effective in the
upcoming year. In other words, if you have problems with how business
has been conducted, this is the chance to let it out to us.
Complements are welcome as well, of course.

I'll see you all at the meeting at 6:00 in the Environmental Science
Building's Room 115.

President, College Democrats of North Texas

P.S. I am graduating and as such will not be seeking a second term in
the role of President. Something that saddens me more than you all can
imagine. I look forward to finding out who may succeed me as of
Tuesday evening.
