Welcome back from spring break!

Tomorrow, Tuesday March 25, the College Democrats will not be having a regular meeting, but instead we will be traveling to SMU to participate in a town hall event with Democratic Strategist James Carville, Sen Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL).

We will be leaving from the Environmental Science Building's parking lot at 3:30 P.M. and head to the SMU campus' McFarlin Hall.

James Carville is a senior Democratic strategist and was a key (if not the key) resource in helping elect President Bill Clinton to the Presidency.

Sen. Barbara Boxer was first elected to the Senate in 1992 and is the chairwoman of the committee on the environment (she has a 100% rating from the League of Conservation Voters).

Sen. Dick Durbin is the Senior Senator from Illinois (Sen. Obama being the junior) and serves as the Majority Whip, meaning he is the #2 guy in the Democratic Senate Leadership.

Other members of the United States Senate may be present as well, but are unconfirmed.

The event itself officially starts at 5:30, doors open at 4:30.

Remember, we are leaving at 3:30 P.M. from the parking lot behind the Environmental Science Building.

See you all tomorrow!
