An Important Notice About Next Week's Meeting

Now about next week, we have had a schedule change this week and will
not be having a regular meeting but will instead be participating in
another field trip.
Next Tuesday we will be leaving from the Environmental Science
Building's parking lot at 3:30 P.M. and head to the SMU campus'
McFarlin Hall for an important town hall event.
The event is an open town hall event featuring The Ragin' Cajun James
Carville, Sen Barbara Boxer (D-CA), and Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL).
James Carville is a senior Democratic strategist and was a key (if not
the key) resource in helping elect President Bill Clinton to the
Presidency.
Sen. Barbara Boxer was first elected to the Senate in 1992 and is the
chairwoman of the committee on the environment (she has a 100% rating
from the League of Conservation Voters).
Sen Dick Durbin is the Senior Senator from Illinois (Sen. Obama being
the junior) and serves as the Majority Whip, meaning he is the #2 guy
in the Democratic Senate Leadership.
Other members of the United States Senate may be present as well, but
are unconfirmed.
The event itself officially starts at 5:30, doors open at 4:30.
