Tips for small institutions

We've learned a few things working with small institutions:
  • because you likely have fewer journals with perpetual access than larger institution, using customized Perpetual Access values is important to get the most accurate forecast.  (To see the most conservative estimate, without any perpetual access at all, you set the Parameter "include perpetual access backfile content" to FALSE)
  • for publishers who do not have tiered pricing for ala carte subscriptions, subscription cost-per-use is much more expensive for small institutions.  This can make document delivery a particularly attractive alternative.
