Right now if a target decides to bluff and takes a long-range shot unless he is on your radar scope you have no way of knowing if it is a legitimate threat; the RWR will treat an R-27ER shot from 60nm the same as one shot from 3nm. Especially if no one else has eyes on him for the contact to show on the SA page
I do find it odd that the RWR doesn't show relative lethality like most of the other Western jets, it's useless for making any judgements of threats. I guess you're wholly dependent on AWACS/SA Page/Radar.
A threat which has you locked but has not fired is placed in the lethal band(seemingly regardless of range, need to test this better). This is not correct as well, it should be moved to the critical band instead.
Hello Maverick, I understand that the way the Tomcat and Hornet show the threats is inverted. My qualm is that the Hornet is actually placing targets which are lethal to you (have the potential to fire) in the non-lethal zone.
If you place an enemy F-15C 7 nm in front of your nose the RWR will place it the non-lethal band(outer most band for the hornet) (very easy to replicate in the mission editor), despite the fact that it a potentially lethal target (and it actually is if it is using TWS). The only time it will move to the lethal band is when it locks you.
The cat has correctly recognized this as a threat and placed it in its lethal band. However, the hornet has incorrectly placed it in the non-lethal band (If the tomcat's behavior was the same it would have been placed in the center or the RWR)
I've read somewhere to somebody explain the logic in the Hornet has changed over the years. With regard to DCS, actual real Hornet pilots discussed one saying that it was right while other saying it was wrong, until a third pilot chimed in and explained that it's correct because he'd flown both ways and it changed while he was in the model so mystery solved.
Also wags said something about they were aware the RWR logic change in the life of the Hornet and probably they were meant to change it in the future to the more recent known one (centre is the higher threat IIRC). I think maybe that discussion was in the comments section of the RWR Wags' video.
That's not what is beeing discussed here. They are talking about the logic of when a threat should be moved to the lethal band. Not if the Lethal band should be on the inside or outside of the RWR display.

And another example of the different threat line lengths in the HUD page too supporting what is said in this post about the lethal/non-lethal band, and also that the line length in the HUD EW should depend on lethality
As it is all spread in many different threads, and for the shake of the discussion and especially the "rwr correct as is" tag, I'm posting the links to the other threads where symbology has been discussed and photos/videos have been posted:
Same applying to the RWR azimuth indicator in th appropriate ring. Apart from being supported by publicly available documentation, this also matches the way HB has implemented it too in the F-14 RWR azimuth indicator (aside from the F-14 not having HUD symbology), and also makes total sense from a human factors and HMI point of view.

Open ranks inspections are in-person assessments of each Airman. They are evaluated on customs and courtesies and adherence to dress and personal appearance standards in accordance with Department of the Air Force policies. Each squadron was tasked with conducting these inspections, to be completed no later than July 17. The 55th Wing completed all their inspections by July 10.
With the Air Force's plans to reshape, refocus, and optimize the Air Force to maintain supremacy in their respective areas and better position the service to deter and triumph in an era of Great Power Competition, there is a heightened emphasis on readiness and lethality at the forefront of the fight.
In recent years, intelligence experts have warned that new and emerging technologies could change and potentially revolutionize battlefield communications, effectively altering how Marines on the ground detect and locate their adversaries, communicate with each other, and direct operations.

Titin is a giant muscle protein that forms a continuous filament system in both skeletal and cardiac muscle. It is composed of different functional units that enable titin to integrate into the Z-disc and M-band, provide elasticity, and support sarcomere assembly. The presence of phosphorylation sites and a kinase domain suggest a role for titin in signal transduction and also for regulating sarcomere assembly via its substrate titin cap (T-cap)
The findings suggest diverse functions for titin in embryonic development and in the adult heart, which does not only involve differential expression of titin isoforms, but also of titin binding proteins. The switch between the fetal and adult expression pattern could be an attractive therapeutic target to balance the stability of the sarcomere and the efficiency of contraction.
Was that really the case? I had it and pretty much never used it since everything is doable without insta-kills and Cover Lethality only worked with finishers which are usually 1-target long-ass-animation-kill kind of deal. Was there some kind of frame/weapon-related synergy for that mod? Like with novas 4th since it transfers damage from one enemy to others?
I'd say, given it's very unlikely for them to revert the mod to its IK status, pretty much these three suggestions would really bring it back, still fit the name, and make the "on Mercy" mods much more applicable, given how finnicky Mercies are currently.
they should make the mod go to the Parazon like they said and when equip you can mercy an enemy if it is in a vulnerable state or you are stealthed. this whole mercy an enemy at 30% health is pretty short sighted. What's a few more shots or another swing of you melee over widdle an enemy down to 30% health then go up and mercy. Make it so we use the parazon to do stealth kills with cover lethality equipped on it and problem solved.
CL was always a band-aid for the fact that daggers have one of the lowest stealth finisher multipliers in the game. Daggers get a measly 6x while fist weapons, for some reason, get a whopping 30x. Daggers are on the same level for stealth as giant two-handed hammers. Wtf?
Daggers hardly need old Covert Lethality to be good. That said, the new Cover Lethality does not seem very useful to me. Not sure if 100% extra finisher damage is worth a slot when you can simply increase the all around damage with that slot instead, which in turn increases finisher damage as well.
Are you talking about a build focused exclusively or near-exclusively on finishers? My uncompleted tests suggested that the best possible build without a riven would have both CL and Finishing Touch. (And that other weapons would always use Finishing Touch.)
