Thereare a lot of great films in the marketplace. You really are asking the age old question of "which is better, Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper?" All the film companies you proposed are really good companies. Every tinter has their own preferences to the film that they use in their operations and honestly feel that their film is better then any other. Just because I prefer Pepsi over Coke & Dr Pepper doesn't mean that the other two are bad products, just my personal preference. Another scenario would be "which is the best? Ferrari, Lamborghini, McClaren?" All are exceptional cars that I can't afford. LOL
Good to know you think those 3 companies are good. I just wanted to make sure there wasnt one that was terrible compared to the rest based on people on here using it. I have never tinted or had anything I own tinted, so didnt know if one stood out as higher quality?
Reading all the posts on this site, there are alot of mixed reviews on all the brands I have mentioned. Some love 3M, some hate it. Johnson seems to have an adhesive and grainny problem, and I have seen pictures of MaxPro bubbling. So it is all very confusing on who to trust!!!
Do it through a reputable dealer who has a good track record and pick something other than the Maxpro. Any differences in the film between Johnson and 3M will be slight and almost unnoticeable to a consumer, outside of the cost. Both brands have competitive warranties so any problems in the future it would likely be handled.
Professionals tend to nitpick (which is good) when it comes to these slight differences but in the end you have three good choices in your line-up there and buyer's remorse is unlikely, unless installed incorrectly. Pay good money for the install.....not so much the brand or line.
Coast to Coast: Is the 3M CS better than the 3M FX Premium because the CS is carbon based? I didnt know if the carbon based films were any better than dyed films? This could create a whole new discussion on here I would assume...haha.
Hybrid films are a combination of dyed and metalized films, layered to create higher heat rejection and protection. The dyed layer blocks light and heat while the metalized layer reflects the light and heat absorption. Together they create a crisp dark appearance.
Carbon window film is constructed with carbon particles, no dyes and no metal materials. This window film rejects more heat than metalized films without interfering with cell and satellite reception.

I was using another film company for many years and was contacted by Allison to try out the product line. I am very glad I did! The service I have received has been above my expectations. Keep up the great work MaxPro!!

Recently a sales rep from MaxPro contacted me, very nice girl, and sent me over some of the MaxJetPro film to try. From the feel I had no complaints. Any body used this stuff consistently to fill us in on durability ect? Price sheet wast bad either.
They also contacted me. I tried the max jet and didn't like the feel of it. Pricing is very appealing as you stated. However, I'm not going to risk my reputation on an unproven film. It may in fact be a great film and hold up over time. I just can't risk it. I'm assuming you feel the same way!
This is coming from two guys who one has 6 yr experience and the other 1 yr. What makes you an expert on if a film will last or not? What if someone at your shop/customer told you who knows if you will do good work if you have low experience/level? I understand there are many companies out there thatt sell bad film, but you cant blast on a company just because they are new, this is a new era, new technology. . Just because the film you are using now doesnt come back to you doesnt mean it has failed, most people get rid of they're cars withing the 2nd year. Im tired of reading all this nonsense.
I guess sometimes when you post something online and gets across the wrong way. I apologize if you understood wrong, i could go on and on what i tried to say but its not worth it at this point. All power to you.
Living in Las Vegas.....About 1 1/2 years ago, had our new car tinted, vendor used MAX PRO , The 15% Max Pro does not hold/back the sun rays compared to my other 4 vehicles with 15%, of other major brands. Via our Chatline, I've related the aforementioned to other residents of our Sun City Summerlin Community.
Xpel, llumar, and Solar Fx are all solid films, not familiar with maxpro and aswf I know some other installers that had warranty issues with after a couple years. The quality of the installation is going to make the biggest difference ultimately. I personally use Xpel in my shop and couldn't be happier with the film. I run their ceramic on my daily driver and it's holding up beautifully. I also have Solar Fx ceramic on my wife's daily and have no complaints there either, it's been on there several years and looks as good today as the day it was installed.
