A total of 21 individuals who best represent the community-at-large were selected to serve on the Ad Hoc Work Group which will continue to meet in person, regularly during evening hours, to discuss best practices, consider different perspectives, and identify means and methods to improve pedestrian and cyclist safety, while encouraging the public to frequent the Miracle Mile area and its businesses.
Thanks to Assembly Bill 179 (2022), the City of Stockton was granted $20,000,000 for new pedestrian crossings, public safety improvements and revitalization efforts of Stockton’s Miracle Mile, located on Pacific Avenue from Alpine Avenue to Harding Way.
Final recommendations from the Ad Hoc Work Group will be submitted to the City of Stockton by March 2024 to expend the awarded grant by January 1, 2028.
