Wednesday, April 30, 2014, Wind Ensemble, 7:30pm, NCH, “Composers I’ve Known”
Dr. A. G. “Mack” McGrannahan III provides the following comment about this program:
“The University of Nevada Wind Ensemble will perform music by Wind Band Composers whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the past 40 years. The music to be performed is still a secret, but our featured soloist will be my son, Grady, performing Eric Ewazen’s Concerto for Bass Trombone and Wind Ensemble.
Though this will be my last concert with the Wind Ensemble, I will continue to conduct the Reno Wind Symphony, my adult community band, as well as the Reno Municipal Band".
