Does this new language has something to do with the UnQL language developped in the 90s?

Hi everyone,

I was gathering some information about UnQL, and I found a scientific
article describing a language called UnQL, dated March 2000 (http://
db.cis.upenn.edu/DL/vldbjournal00.pdf). A few google searches later, I
realized this language was developped in 1996.

I'm now wondering if you are basing your work upon these researches or
if it's totally different (except the name and the aim)?

Our UnQL is completely unrelated.  This is the first I've heard of Buneman, Fernandez, and Suciu.   Thanks for the link!
