Hi All,

Around November 2022 we experienced an issue where some gold/bronze articles were incorrectly marked as closed access. We worked hard to resolve this and are happy to report that the majority of those articles have been restored.

I've attached a couple screenshots to show the improvements for the largest publishers. The colors correspond to gold, green, bronze, and hyrbid open access:

1) Wiley was affected the most. The single chart shows the count of open access articles over seven months, with the count returning to previous levels.

2) The screenshot with multiple charts shows open access counts for top publishers over the past 4 months. These show increases across all of the publishers, which is mostly a return to where it was seven months ago.

We're still working on finding the "sweet spot" in order to be as accurate as we can. For example, American Chemical Society was over-corrected and is in the process of being updated now. Hopefully you are seeing these improvements when using the data!

Thanks,
Casey
