By one estimate, IT Managers and Salaried employees, who think that
they are NOT eligible for overtime pay or breaks are actually due
$7,500 overtime pay per year. What the law really says is that ONLY
owners and managers who spend MORE THAN half their time in simply
creative or supervisory roles are exempt.
Everyone else is owed overtime and break money. This means that if you
spend more than half your time actually DOING something like
programming, answering questions, writing, tinkering, etc... then you
are NOT managing.
