I'm currently working to integrate the DigitalPersona U.are.U 4500 Fingerprint Reader with our FileMaker application. I installed the DigitalPersona SDK 1.6.1 on my system (Windows 10 Pro x64, 1904 Build 18362). However, the SDK samples do not seem to work while launching the scanner window. It gives the error: "ERROR: The RPC Server is not listening (0x800706B3)". I checked the 'Remote Procedure Call' and 'DCOM Server Process Launcher' but they're already running.

I then installed the SDK on an older Windows 10 installation (64 bit, 1709 Build 16299). The sample applications ran, but when the scanner window launches, it does not detect the connected fingerprint reader. I tried switching the device driver from "U.are.U 4500 Fingerprint Reader (WBF)" to the normal "U.are.U 4500 Fingerprint Reader" but it didn't help.

I tried the Biometric Fingerprint Plugin (by Productive Computing) for FileMaker and installed version 2.0.1.2. It comes with a sample FileMaker application for enrolling fingerprints and searching them. The plugin installed correctly, however, it also gives me the same issue upon scanner Window launch. The error message says "The fingerprint reader is not connected. Connect the reader." A screenshot is shown below.

As a result, I am neither able to use the code samples given with the SDK, nor able to use the demo file provided by the plugin, because the plugin isn't getting detected. I thought maybe the device was faulty, but it is working fine with Windows Hello fingerprint sign-in (using the WBF driver), as well as with the TimeDrop software (using the simple, non-WBF driver). The SDK is working with neither of these drivers.

Go to the Device Manager and locate the fingerprint device. Then Right Click >> Update Driver >> Browse my computer for drivers >> Let me pick from a list of available drivers.

Easy to install and use; the many benefits of fingerprint biometricsstart here. The U.are.U 4500 Fingerprint Reader is a USB device, builton the latest optical fingerprint reader technology. The U.are.U 4500 OEM Reader is compatible with many different softwaredevelopment kits and applications. Below is the list of productsthat are currently known to support this scanner. Please notethat some applications and development kits require specific versionsof the drivers to be installed. Please contact us if you needadditional information.

I am trying to use my Arduino Uno to send (via an Ethernet Shield) the data that my Digital Persona U 4500 gathers, so that it can be processed by an SDK on a remote PC server, and ultimately sending an Acknowledged/Not Acknowledged message back to the Uno (for both enrolling and authentication purposes).

The big question I've got is, how can I exactly get the fingerprint scanner to communicate with my Uno? The good news is that as soon as I can get this part working, the rest shall follow along nicely, as I already have an app that does what I want with the information the sensor provides.

However, from that point on I am a little lost. I have searched for drivers (on both this sensor and the OEM Futronic FS88 that I ordered for experimentation but haven't yet received), and I can't seem to find anything thus far. I understand it might be even necessary to write my own driver, but then again, how would I even start doing that? Are there any references I could look up on (maybe Adafruit)?

can you guys help me? I have problem with my fingerprint module to show the result of fingerprint to web use ethernetshield. I'm so dizzy with the source code of Arduino would i made. If you guys have the source code about that, will you tell me? :((

I've ZFM208SA fingerprint scanner for arduino. The point is, how to displaying the results of fingerprint enrollment to a web page. The components I use are, Arduino UNO, fingerprint, and ethernetshield.
This is the code that I combine (fingerprint + webclient)

After going through pages of posts on this topic previously, I decided to start this new topic for ONLY SNOW LEOPARD INSTALLATION ON GMA 4500MHD laptops. I know it is not possible for now to have kexts supporting gma4500 graphics ..... that too on Snow Leopard Installation. Some hacked gma3100 kexts available for OSX 10.5 systems but nothing for 10.6.

all in vein.....the 10.5.x tricks not applicable as the plist located on extra , not in /library/preferences/system configuration. I also tried putting the modified plist there but no solution. Still Stretched out 1024x768.

Not working for me. Anybody with some update please. Has anyone tried this installer? Anybody else get it working? Common post some solutions which will really work ....... or is it to be concluded that it can not be done??

Weah...I was forget to tell u about the x86 mode but...u have to know that this it not a real driver...this is kind of temporarily version, to joy the native resolution. With no QE/CI your CPU will return to an oven after 30 minutes of running full screen movie for example!

And I`m not charging U guys for the missing of the driver. The fault is not yours... The question is WHO are the people writing the nVidia or ATI drivers and even the Intel....and where are they now, why the manifacturers makes only WIIIIIIIIINDOWS drivers... I hate this "MULTIPLATFORM" OS...like every one here

Guys, please dont blame yourselves. You are doing a fabulous job. Without your help, it is not possible for me to run snow leopard on my hp compac. Imagine the price of a 17inch apple macbook running Snow Leopard & compare it with HP compaq cq60. Its a huge amount of money we are gaining isnt it? thanks to you I now have fully functional keyboard, HD sound, Ethernet, Wifi, even Webcam. With only 1/4th price to pay , I got near fully functional snow leopard .... & its only because of you guys. So, hats off to you.....

I have something to ask.As you surely understand that my laptop is a dual core ... so the question of 64bit doesn't arise. So I presume it always boot into 32bit? Stil the driver yo give not working but I will retry with a reinstallation as I experimented so much with different kexts lately ..... that may prevent it. I will late you know the result.

I have a VMware installed in my Windows 7 running MacOSX 10.5.7. Its got only native resolution & its more than usable for me. What i just expect to have a similar native resolution in snow also , thats all I want & nothing more ... & with masters like you around ... I know its only a matter of time. Surely I can expect fully functional QE/CI enabled Snow Leopard in my dual core laptop for just 1/4th price to spend.

I have searched everywhere and Spent 2 weeks on this, After Installing 4500 patch 2 , screen just goes black, I try to install Final Cut Pro it says , it needs 128min ram to install and my video card has 0MB

Below you will find 2 zip files that can be used to get your Digital Persona U.are.U 4500 up and running. The first 4500_wbf_driver_5.0.0.5_rs3.zip is smaller in size and is just the basic drivers, probably all you need to get up and running on Windows 10. The second DP_UareU_WSDK223.zip I believe is the SDK kit and has all the drivers and full software.

Hello, sorry, maybe a stupid question. But where can I find drivers for my Ryzen 5 4500 processor? The automatic search for drivers cannot find them. And in the search there is only Ryzen 5 4500u, if it is him, then why exactly with the "U"application

The Ryzen 5 4500 is a regular Desktop processor that doesn't have any Integrated Graphics on it. So there are no drivers to install except the special Windows drivers that are upgraded each time Windows is upgraded.

Recommendation: If you are inexperienced with updating Digital Persona Scanner device drivers manually, we highly recommend downloading DriverDoc [Download DriverDoc - Product by Solvusoft] to assist in updating your U.are.U 4500 drivers. U.are.U 4500 errors may be linked to corrupt or outdated drivers of your computer. When the operating system that your device depends on gets an update, drivers can suddenly stop working with it. The exciting news is that you can likely update the Scanner device drivers in order to avoid malfunctions.

It can be incredibly difficult to find the exact driver for your U.are.U 4500-based hardware unit, even directly on the website of Digital Persona or a related manufacturer. Even if you are experienced at finding, downloading, and manually updating U.are.U 4500 drivers, the process can still be very time consuming and extremely irritating. Driver versions that are incorrect will cause more complications with your PC's performance, sometimes causing more damage.
