Dear Rasika,
The Malladi Brothers delivered a deeply engaging and vibrant concert yesterday. They were completely in their elements and each piece they presented carried their unmistakable stamp of authority. The clarity of their diction, melody and sweetness in their pronunciation were a joy to experience. With decades of dedicated performing behind them, they truly stand tall today as senior ambassadors of the Andhra tradition, carrying its legacy with pride and immense grace.
The concert was further embellished by the outstanding support from the accompanying artists. Sri. Nishanth Chandran on the violin who provided sensitive and steady support, with a tonal quality that stood out throughout. Tumkur Sri. Ravishankar on the mridangam lent both gusto and precision to the concert, while Dr. V. Suresh on the ghatam added immense value with his seasoned artistry and experience. Together, they elevated the concert into a richly layered musical experience.
The audience, equally discerning and appreciative, responded with warmth and attention, making the evening all the more fulfilling for everyone present.
