Namma Bengaluru Foundation has launched an annual Awards programme "Namma Bengaluru award" to appreciate 'ordinary citizens for their extraordinary contributions'.

As part of the nomination process, any citizen is free to nominate an agency / individual of their choice. The nomination could be done through a 5 minute process by filling an online nomination form. Those who feel that Unnati should be nominated may kindly click on the link http://www.namma-bengaluru.in/nomination and fill up the form.

Nomination Narrative

 

Description of the Nominee's activities, accomplishments, and contribution which support your nomination: 

Unnati is a vocational training and social transformation program for the unemployed and underprivileged youth. Underprivileged youth aged 18 and above are given free of cost training on chosen vocations and life skills in 3 months, and at the end of 3 months' training given assured employment with reputed corporates / companies, thus lifting those families above the poverty line. Unnati thus transforms life of families below poverty line forever in just 3 months. So far close to 800 youth have been trained and employed in last 6 years. This is a silent social transformation happening, enabling the poor and below poverty-line families to join the national mainstream.

Unnati is a voluntary organisation doing a selfless service to the society day in and day out. They deserve to be hounoured.

Where was the impact of the Activity/Contribution/Accomplishment felt?

Unemployed underprivileged youth are given a life worth living!! They are converted into employable, responsible citizens for the country! Families below poverty line are transformed and lifted to above poverty line in just 3 months.... that too forever..... This is a great service to society.
