Dear Rasika,
Sri HK Venkatram on the violin and Adayar Sri. Balasubramaniam on the nadaswaram gave us a concert that was both free-flowing and thoroughly captivating. The music unfolded with such natural ease, marked by a beautiful blend of melody and energy. Their mutual understanding and warmth on stage were evident and added to the charm — it was hard to believe they were performing together for the very first time. The seamless coordination and shared musicality made it a delight for rasikas, who left with smiles and contentment.
The percussion support was equally commendable, with Sri. Senthil Kumar on the thavil and Sri. Sumesh Narayan on the mridangam bringing immense vitality to the performance. Their thani avarthanam was exhilarating — crisp, dynamic, and a joy to listen to.
All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable and fulfilling concert — the kind that leaves you feeling enriched and grateful to have been part of it.
