Dear Rasika,
Amritha Murali presented a wholesome and deeply fulfilling concert. Her unwavering dedication to tradition, coupled with a refined sense of classicism, makes every performance a memorable experience — and today was no exception. Each piece she rendered stood out, not just for its choice, but for the way she explored and expanded each nuance with care and artistry. It was truly a delight to witness her build each moment with conviction and finesse.
Smt. Charulatha Ramanujam on the violin was an excellent support, responding to every phrase with precision and adding depth to the stage mood. Sri Manoj Siva’s accompaniment on the mridangam was outstanding, marked by impeccable sensitivity and sowkyam. A special mention goes for the way he elevated the concert with his nuanced playing. Sri Shamit Gowda, performing for us for the first time, rose to the occasion and did complete justice to the concert.
The rasikas walked out of the auditorium with a deep sense of satisfaction, having been treated to a well-presented and fulfilling concert.
