A: There are multiple items that can cause the DLSS dropdown menu tool to not be visible. To ensure your machine and project are both fully supported, please verify that the following guidelines are met.
DLSS workload occurs at the same point as other upscaling technologies in the render pipeline. This is an implementation requirement in Unreal Engine. Due to this, only one upscaling technology can be "enabled" (loaded) at a time. This keeps the NVIDIA DLSS plugin enabled but also avoids potential incompatibilities by skipping the driver side NGX parts of DLSS.
A: DLSS requires correct motion vectors to function properly. The r.BasePassForceOutputsVelocity console variable can be used to render motion vectors for all objects, and not just the ones with dynamic geometry. This can be useful if it's infeasible to e.g. change all meshes to stationary or dynamic.

Hi, I just downloaded the game from game pass on PC, and I'm having an issue: I see in the settings only the dlss frame gen and reflex options greyed out, and not seeing the upscaling toggle at all. I have all the latest driver and my specs are RTX 4070, 12700k and 32gb of ram on win 11. Is it a problem of mine or are you aware of it/is there any solution?
The PC Game Pass version does not support DLSS or Frame Gen. Only Steam does. I too downloaded it and jumped in only to get 30-40 FPS even with my RTX 4080. Very disappointing, and promptly uninstalled. Very lazy of the devs and so wrong of them to show all the options in the menu but just grey them out without any explanation. Imagine how many people will be confused right now.
It is really disappointing, I get about 40-45 fps at 1440p high, wich is ridiculous, and if I can't even use dlss the game is just unplayable. There will certainly be some way to mod it in the game, also because I see Reflex and FG options, so dlss is "partially" there. I'll try something and if I manage to solve this problem I'll post the solution here.
Devs seem to be lazy other than not good at their job. Ridicoulous problems since launch (in nov 2023), terrible performance for what is really just a 7 yrs old game's porting to UE5, and they're not even trying to solve any of these things.
There are more bugs than this for the Gama Pass version. You will also find that you are restricted in what you can type, not just in chat but, with Tame Naming, Signs and even the search criteria for servers! If you type THE and many more combinations it will be replaced with ***. I'm switching to the Steam version.
Just to clarify here, The reason ASA along with a lot of other games on Game Pass, don't have DLSS is because Xbox uses AMD chips thus why they implement FSR because the games on there are the Xbox version of the games. Unfortunately why DLSS is greyed out in most games. Hopefully Xbox enables this feature on all it's games when a lot of their computer users have Nvidia GPU's.
Ok but, first, DLSS works just fine in most XGP games, and to activate it, devs just need to toggle a switch, and I don't think it would be too difficult. And what is really annoying is that this team doesn't seem to care about ANYTHING in their games, it is buggy, is terribly optimised, and they did NOTHING since relase in oct/nov 2023, 6 months at least. And the fact DLSS in NEEDED even on a 4090 to play at appropriate settings, and might even not be enough, is the opprobrious optimisation and performance of the game, so it would be an easy and lazy fix to those problem they crated and can't really address themselves.
