Dear Ken,

with a colleague, we have a static time to detection occupancy model that we intend to fit with occuTTD(). We have reps for each site and would like to fit random site effects. Is this possible yet in this function ?

Thanks for all and best regards  --- Marc

Hi Marc,

unmarked::occuTTD does not support random effects, but ubms::stan_occuTTD does, so you could use ubms instead.

However unmarked does support multiple surveys per site as in the Garrard et al (2013) version of the model, which may make more sense depending on your design.

Dear Ken,

thanks for the quick help. OK, I agree that unmarked makes more sense for our case.

Best regards  – Marc
