Noel/Eric,

I took a further look at the appliance sheet, and marked my recommendation in red below Noel's.

Basically, I picked another set of laundry machine. I looked further into the drying technology, and saw that the original dryer that was picked out was a condensing dryer.

The condensing dryer has a couple problems: 1) the condensate needs to be removed every couple of load 2) the condensate fins are hard to clean 3) the inside of the machine never gets dried, and generates a lot of water vapor - which will hurt our humidity contest

Since towel drying is one of the harder task - because it will take a lot of energy, I'm recommending a direct vented dryer - which we will need to install a dryer vent - I also recommend to install a booster fan for the dryer, it is an energy user, but if it boost the drying, and we get the drying done quicker - ultimately it saves energy (because the fan is only 80W, when the dryer is 7200W).

The machines I picked is almost the same dimension as the original ones. They are made by Bosch. Please take a look and let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for the information, Jinger. We should be able to exhaust below the deck, right? Most codes require a certain distance from the ground, but I don't recall the precise amount.

Strangely enough, my house in AZ vents the dryer through the roof, which I hadn't seen before. If this would meet code, it might be a viable alternative.

We need to put outdoor unit for mini-split under deck. Just be aware if we have warm air under deck,it decreases SEER for system. We need fresh, clean, and cool air.

Eric,

Do you prefer it to go through roof or under deck? Both are viable. See attached image for under deck. And yes, I've seen plenty homes in Vegas with dryer vent going through roof .

Jinger, below deck would probably be preferable; the fewer number of roof penetrations, the better.

Jinger, team,
Look again at the purpose of the dryer vent fan.  These typically are used when your dryer vent needs to run a greater distance than specified by the manufacturer normally 12 feet with 1-90 degree bend and a vent cap (some dryers are capable of a 30 foot straight run).  The booster is to ensure that lint does not remain in the vent piping as a potential source for fire.
Respectfully,
Daniel

Moshen,
Review manufacturers requirements for minimum clearances of your outdoor unit.  These are typically 1-foot, 3-feet, 3-feet, 3-feet so that the fan can move air unobstructed over the coils.
Respectfully,
Daniel
