Jinger, Alexia,
The choices in appliances and home entertainment selections are somewhat odd.
Some of the appliances mandate specialty cookware and are quite expensive if they are to be included within your overall budget.
Some of the home entertainment selections do not seem appropriate to your project house and most are not readily integrated into a control system.
I am not advocating change for change sake, my thoughts are intended to assist with your rationale for choices that benefit the occupant experience.
Feel free to call to discuss.
Respectfully,
Daniel

Daniel,

I definitely feel the same way about how expensive some of this stuff is. The list still needs to be looked at some more with Eric, MEP and myself.

Noel - could you please look at what this specialty cookware requirement is?

Angsuman - could you please research the winner of last year's appliance contest and give a brief description on cost and performance, and why they were the winner.

Thanks,
Alexia

Which home entertainment appliances are you referring to Daniel? The ones I picked? or the ones other people picked? My choices were the A/V receiver and blu-ray player shown on the list and the KEF speakers. Also I notice my projector is gone...the one I selected has the same cost, which was the Optoma HD33. Maybe it's because there are different versions of the appliance sheet. The reason I picked these for home entertainment is because they have the best bang for the buck. Performance is great considering the cost. The Bose system indicated is not good considering the cost. The Polk system indicated is extremely cheap and is not on par with the quality of the video in the system. Audio and video must be balanced.

Angsuman, et al:

We should have a follow-up meeting to discuss the AV equipment as soon as possible; we need to get something into the cost estimate ASAP. Please coordinate with Alexia to determine a daytime, M-F meeting as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Eric Weber
