Looking Back...

July Weekend of Awesomeness Weekend!

With members of Desert Oasis Division and special guests from UCSD and UNR we had come together once again to empower ourselves with our three tenants. "Service, Leadership, and Fellowship. Here we had quite a few events.

Ice Cream Smorgasbord

At Alliante Park, Dersert Oasis had gathered together to have an Ice Cream Social stuffing our faces with a buffet of Ice Cream!

CKI Professional Leadership Workshop

Early in the morning Circle K'ers had gathered to learn a little more on professionalism. How to act and react in certain environments!

Las Vegas Rescue Mission Service Project

For the service segment of this weekend we had all come together in making over 200 Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches for the homeless!

6th Annual Las Vegas Strip Search

The 6th Annual Las Vegas Strip Search! Members had been placed in teams where they were on a scavenger hunt throughout all of the Las Vegas Strip. Participants were required to take pictures of monuments to receive the next clue but not only that. There were also challenge rounds where participants were required to do acts such as The Bernie in a crowded area and etc!

Breakfast Fundraiser

Yummy breakfast prepared freshly for all WAW attendees. This breakfast also doubles as a fundraiser for March of Dimes. Tentatively, breakfast will include eggs, bacon and/or sausage, pancakes and orange juice. All known attendee food allergies and diet restrictions will be taken into consideration when final menu items are purchased and prepared.

Desert Oasis Divisional Council Meeting

As this jam packed week comes to a close. We had all gathered and shared or accomplishments for the month prior. From service events to club events  we reminisced on our accomplishments as a division.

Clean The World
July 30, 2013

At this project volunteers from Circle K International had gone to the warehouse of Clean the World to contribute to the stopping of 9000 deaths of children under the age of five. Yes, 9000 children die each year from hygiene related diseases. The crazy thing is that 30-60% of these children can be saved from something as simple as soap!
Opportunity Village

10:00am - 1:00pm

As October inches closer, Opportunity Village has started to prepare for their Halloveen event. This s the first time that they have done this in seven years! For this event Opportunity Village had needed volunteers to come out and help them in the creation of their decorations. One of them being the jack-o-lantern. Volunteers had gone out and carved out pumpkins which will be put up later onto their 90 foot christmas tree!
