Service! Downtown Revitalization Project!

Suppppp CKI peeps!

For those of you who are interested, there is  service project tomorrow in Downtown Las Vegas at 8:30am! This project is a large effort from the Las Vegas community headed by United Way to revitalize one of Las Vegas' crucial areas of need. At this project, we will be broken up into groups either to roam the streets downtown cleaning and repainting fire hydrants, or working at the Las Vegas Academy to build new picnic benches and clean off the year's wear on the existing benches or painting over murals to leave space for a brand new image for the school. I will be assisting United Way as a team leader and I would love to have CKI show some support for the community by participating. Here are the details:

What: Downtown Revitalization

When: Saturday morning 8:30am - 12:00pm

Where: Please meet at 5th St. Historical Elementary School (the first elementary school in Las Vegas!)

401 S. Fourth St.

Las Vegas, NV 89101

Why: To give downtown Las Vegas a face-lift

Notes: 

**Lunch/water and a volunteer T-shirt will be provided for all volunteers

**Please wear comfortable (it will be hot) clothes you don't mind getting dirty and closed toed shoes. We will be walking, lifting, bending, being awesome.

**Parking will be provided just south from the 5th St school. (Please see attached map)

**Carpool will be provided by Mamu Kimura (551) 482-2751

**Don't be late!! There will be a very special opening ceremony. I think this is a great opportunity to see how much of a community we are all a part of and the impact we will be making.
