Make Sure To Check The Bottom Of This Email To Get All Information About Whats Happening With The Board Members Member Of The Month Sean Torres    Everyone please congratulate Mr. Sean Torres for being chosen as the September Member of The Month! Even though he is a new member within Circle K International, he definitely isn't a rookie of the Kiwanis Family. He has brought to Circle K International what the Kiwanis Family is all about. In short time Sean has displayed Circle K Internationals three tenets, Service, Leadership, and Fellowship. So congratulations Sean!   Previously... Goodie Two Shoes Foundation October 4, 2013    The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation is a non-profit organization that outfits children with brand new pairs of shoes. They target specifically school which are located in lower income areas. Not only do they give these children new pairs of shoes but most importantly allows them to choose for themselves. This organization specifically gives the power of choice. Sometimes empowerment is all a child might need to feel that they are important; that they do have a say. So Circle K'ers had gone out to give these children that experience, the chance to empower themselves with choice. Strides Against Breast Cancer October 5, 2013    Circle K'ers gathered at the JW Marriott last Saturday as they helped fight breast cancer. At 6:00am the volunteers were ready to set up and take any task given. This year Circle K'ers were cheering on the walkers/runners as they marched down there 5K walk/run. After the event Circle K'ers had assisted the American Cancer Society in tearing down the event. Luckily, we were rewarded with some lunch! Onwards... Opportunity Village  October 12, 2013 10:00am - 2:00pm Contact: Christy Covington Carpool: 9:30am @ SU    As Halloween inches nearer our friends at Opportunity Village need out help. They are holding their annual HallOVeen event for the first time in seven year and they are so close to being done but just not quite there yet. That is why they are asking us to come out and help to finish this project! *If there are any questions or concerns please contact the person listed above or Mamu Kimura.  All contacts will be listed at the bottom of this email.       October Weekend Of Awesomeness Weekend October 18, 2013 - October 20, 2013 Riverside, California Friday 10/18    Desert Social - Bond with the members of UC Riverside Circle K International and NORCO Circle K International. As we meet old and new members of their clubs it's sure to be a great time! Saturday 10/19     Crazy Kompetetion For Infants South (CKI South). Come on, as our southern division of the CNH District gather in raising money for the Pediatic Trauma Program along with having fun! This event will be fille dwith competitive games testing your physicality along with your ability to think on your feet. Get ready as UNLV Circle K International goes head on with the rest of the clubs in our southern district! On saturday we will also be holding our Divisional Council Meeting (DCM). Come join as we update the clubs in our division on what we have recently accomplished.  Sunday 10/20    Service Project in Riverside. This morning we will be doing a service project to beautify the city of Riverside. We will be collecting trash and cleaning up the city! Divisional Trainer will also be occuring this day.  UNLV Boo Bash October 22, 2013 1:00pm - 8:00pm Contact: N/A    Come join Circle K International as we go out and help create a safe environment for the children in our community. Boo Bash was created to have a safe environment where children can have the full experience of Halloween. We will be going and decorating the Tonapah Housing Complex along with managing the floor to make sure everything is going smoothly.  * Requires registrations please follow the link below.
