Event has multiple event types

I am trying to change the select dropdown for Event Type to be
checkboxes so that an event can have more than one event type. The
database is set up for this since there is an event_has_eventtype
table.

The checkboxes for changing user permissions are generated with a
crosslink. Is this the way to go?

Yeah, you should be able to change the crosslink type to 'checkbox' or 'multiselect' and that should get it for you.

Alternatively, rewrite the manager and rip FormBuilder out of it and save your soul and the rest of ours?  ;-)
