UNL Event Publisher standalone install problem

Hi there,

I posted this under "issues" but didn't hear anything, so I thought
I'd try here. I don't think I'm doing anything drastically wrong to
cause the problem below, but you never know!

1. Checked out standalone package at
http://unl-event-publisher.googlecode.com/svn/standalone/trunk/
2. uploaded to web server
3. ran install
4. MySQL selected as db type, db login information entered (correctly)
5. Receive the following error every time:

File
http://unl-event-publisher.googlecode.com/svn/UNL_UCBCN/trunk/UNL_UCBCN_db.xml
does not exist! Cannot upgrade DB.

Yet, when the link above is copied and pasted into browser location
bar and followed, the file is indeed there.

Also tried creating the db ahead of time, ran installer, got the "db
already exists, upgrading" message and then the same error as above.

Any help would be appreciated :-)

Hey Dave,

My guess is that PHP doesn't have url_fopen enabled, which is required
to open http:// urls. You could probably turn on url_fopen, or just
copy the file to a local dir and change the path in the setup file.

Thanks! That was indeed the problem. Install ran flawlessly after
that. Now onto configuration :-)
