Anonymous event submission

Is there a way to have anyone with a school login (so it can be checked via LDAP) submit an event to a specific calendar, and then that event would be categorized as "pending" and an admin for the calendar could choose to approve it?

I'm not seeing a way to do this currently without having each person who logs in have their own personal calendar where they create the event and then "recommend" it to the main calendar, I'd like to avoid creating calendars for every student/staff member and just allow them to submit a pending event to a specified calendar. So essentially it would be a universal permission for anyone who passes LDAP authentication to create and "recommend" an event to a calendar.

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
