The only way I can get my V550 scanner to be working is by installing the iscan, iscan-data and AUR's V550 packages. Before, I could just do: sudo pacman -S iscan iscan-data and AUR, but unfortunately iscan is removed now. Why has the iscan package been removed and what replaces it?
If iscan was removed due to reasons Muflone mentioned, then I would also have iscan removed. Now I either try to find out if my V550 can work with imagescan, or just reinstall iscan again (especially if iscan is not deprecated and isn't going to stop working one day). If anyone has the same scanner working with imagescan/utsushi, feel free to let people know.
It seems this software is discontinued. I cannot find it anywhere on any Epson site anymore, but on the other hand Epson Scan2 suddenly supports my printer (DS-310). Before it didn't. Is that possible, that Epson dropped iscan in favor Scan2?
